Overview by Christine Bush
For EarthSatelliteMaps.com
If you’re wondering from where in the world some legislation comes, you can follow the $$$…or you can just use Google Earth to find out. Just look in the LAYERS sidebar box under PRIMARY DATABASE and you’ll find what Google Earth calls “Featured Content”. This includes a category called “US Government” with a wealth of information, including Congressional Districts. You’ll need to zoom down a bit before you can see it, but just look for the red, white and blue stars (as shown here).

Next, click on one of those stars and you’ll see a popup with the name of the Congressional Representative for that District along with links to web sites, images and Google News items pertaining to them:
Other layers in the US GOVERNMENT category include crime stats, postal and municipal boundaries as well as Census data.
